Gemalto in Finland

Gemalto Oy is a part of Gemalto company.  In 2005 a French smart card company, Gemplus S.A. acquired Setec Oy, and a year later Gemplus merged with Axalto, another French smart card company, forming Gemalto, which is now world's leading company in digital security.

In Vantaa, Finland is Gemalto's center of excellence for the Identity product line, which is specialized in the development and production of ID products with extremely high security, often containing a microchip. These products include electronic and visual passports, e-ID cards, driving licenses and healtcare cards.

Gemalto's product range includes also advanced payment card solutions, loyalty cards, SIM-cards and mobile telephone solutions, public transport ticketing solutions, as well as enterprise security solutions.
